I’m Alice, the Senior Designer here at Pillory Barn.
With over seven years experience in the industry I’ve worked on a variety of web projects – from e-commerce sites to bespoke booking sites. Having a strong online presence is one of the most important things for your brand, and your strongest marketing tool. I’m lucky enough to work alongside a great team of designers and developers who have the tools and expertise to level up your website. Here’s how we do it…
Step 1: UX & Sitemap.
A workshop session to establish the requirements of the site from your audience’s first impression to the end goal. From this we create a detailed UX map, sitemap and User Journey flows to help establish the structure of your site and inform the design.
Step 2: Wireframes.
Outline foundation, structure and hierarchy of website elements. Begin to think about flow and design.
Step 3: Design.
Create a prototype design exploring the look and feel of the overall site. Include examples of responsiveness by creating mobile and desktop versions.
Step 4: Development.
Turn the prototype design into a functional website. Front-end coding for CMS and page types, navigation and special functionalities.
Step 5: Content.
Populate test-site with approved content including text, image and video. This is also the stage where SEO should be considered.
Step 6: Testing & Launch.
Final tweaks are made including validation, accessibility, UAT & cross-browser/platform testing. Final reviews & search engine submission.
